I don't really do "street" photography per sé as I consider myself a portraitist mainly. I usually try to capture people in a more substantial and intimate fashion. This was a bit of a different experience for me as a photographer. I felt like I was actively looking for things. Searching...
I chose to post these photos in black and white as a way to show their true essence; to let them stand, alone, and with no distractions. These images I hope can give you a sense of the togetherness and unity that I felt and to help you feel what I usually feel when around my people.
